Khumba Valley, Nepal 2013

The Nepalese culture is the happiest, most colorful, and deeply spiritual that you’re likely to encounter on a snowboard expedition.  They are the portal between civilization and the wild unknown.  The holy man was one of the first encounters Andrew Miller had in Katmandu, and in a lot of ways, he set the tone for the entire trip.  This man sits alongside the river smoking and meditating while the spirits of the newly dead float past, offering blessings and peace.  What they learned here was felt throughout the entire trip, the blessings most of all.
