A riot of color and energy, Dopamine Receptor explores the brain's response to chemistry. The vacillation between electric and muted hues coupled with otherworldly shapes creates a map of the mind's many avenues and reflexes.
Parillo taps into years of experimentation with context, space and color, resulting in an exciting and vibrant work. This piece offers a glimpse into the deepest parts of the human experience, blurring the lines between what we see and what we feel. Dopamine Receptor invites the viewer to fully engage in an experience that's illuminating and unique; the painting belonging fully to the beholder.
